Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Scaler, a tech educational platform to jointly develop management and business programmes aligned with the demands of an AI-driven workplace. The partnership aims to create industry-ready learning pathways for professionals seeking leadership roles in technology-influenced business environments.
“The collaboration brings together IIM Tiruchirappalli’s academic expertise and structured pedagogy with Scaler’s experience in applied, industry-focused education,” an official press note states.
The two institutions will co-develop programmes that blend core management principles with real-world business applications and insights into how artificial intelligence is reshaping organisational decision-making.
According to the statement, through this partnership, IIM Tiruchirappalli will contribute its academic rigour, faculty expertise, and management frameworks, while Scaler will provide industry relevance, practitioner-led learning, and exposure to contemporary business challenges driven by technology and AI adoption.

IIM Trichy, Scaler MoU: AI-led leadership, decision-making
The upcoming programmes to be developed by IIM Tiruchirappalli and Scaler will place a strong emphasis on AI-led leadership, helping learners understand how intelligent systems influence strategy, operations, and people management.
Participants are expected to develop skills in interpreting data-driven insights, working alongside AI tools, and applying technology-enabled decision-making in real business contexts.
Abhimanyu Saxena, co-founder of Scaler, said: “AI is fundamentally changing how companies plan and execute their strategies,” noting that modern leaders must be equally confident in business fundamentals and technology.
The partnership with IIM Tiruchirappalli aims to help professionals develop this balance to succeed in fast-evolving work environments, he added.
Professor Saravanan P, dean of corporate relations and faculty affairs at IIM Tiruchirappalli, said: “Managers today are expected to navigate complex business situations while being comfortable with new technologies. The association with Scaler would bring technological depth to management programmes that are already aligned with industry needs, helping learners apply concepts effectively in real-world settings”.
