IIT Bombay Placements 2021: Rs 2.05 crore offer from Uber; 28 recruiters on day-one

IIT Bombay students received huge offers from international and domestic companies and PSU.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay placement witnessed a grand offer by Uber up to Rs 2.05 crore for IIT Bombay students. As many as 28 companies participated in the placement event. The placement process began today on December 1, 2021. Students received lucrative offers from both international and domestic companies.

Companies like Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Boston Consulting Group, Airbus, Bain and company, made the highest number of offers in the domestic sector. IIT Bombay also attracted international offers from companies like Uber and Rubrik. Most hiring was done by sectors like IT/software, core engineering and consulting.
“We have not received confirmation from a few companies yet. Until now, 201 pre-placement offers have been accepted by students, which is higher than the previous year. Offers have been made by a public sector undertaking (PSU) too.” read the press notice dated 1st December, 2021by IIT Bombay placement office.

In the domestic sector, a high compensation package was offered by the company Millennium with Rs 62 lakhs per annum. World Quant offered Rs 51.71 lakhs per annum, while Blackstone offered Rs 46.62 lakhs per annum as a salary package.
International offers included Uber with an offer of 2.74 lakh US dollars per annum and Rubrik with 1.21 lakh US dollars per annum.
“The regular recruiters have shown faith in IITB and we are anticipating more offers from these companies,” stated the press note from IIT Bombay.
