J-K Government shares helpline numbers for Kashmiri, other state students to return home

Jammu and Kashmir Government has launched helpline numbers to support students to return home and advised to contact the state education department and transport for assistance amid the escalating military conflict between India and Pakistan. India-Pakistan Tensions LIVE .

Posting a list of helpline numbers on her official X account, Sakina Itoo, education minister of Jammu and Kashmir, wrote: “The Govt of J&K has established dedicated helplines to assist students. Students from J&K studying outside who need to return home are advised to contact officials from the School Education and Transport Departments of the Jammu Division.”

“Students from outside the UT who are currently studying in J&K may get in touch with officials of SED and Transport Department of the Kashmir Division for help with transport, lodging, or any related assistance. The government is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students,” minister Itoo added.

War-like situation between India and Pakistan has been escalated in several border districts in the country such as Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan Amritsar and many more, after the former executed ‘Operation Sindoor’ where it dropped bombs on 9 terror-camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

The conflict between the two countries is now seen as an act of war and red alert has been issued in many part of cities in north India.
