JEE Main session 2 registration 2025 ends in 10 days; how to avoid form rejection

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the JEE Main session 2 registration 2025 in 10 days. As per the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2025 (JEE Mains 2025) session 2 exam date, the NTA will hold the entrance test from April 1 to April 8 in two shifts. Candidates will have to fill and submit the JEE Main application form 2025 by February 25 through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

In the latest update, the NTA has published the JEE Main BArch, BPlanning paper 2 provisional answer key 2025 today. Candidates who appeared in the JEE Main paper 2 exams held on January 30 will be able to challenge the answer key by February 16. The JEE Mains paper 2 and final answer key can be expected soon.
Students who wish to take a second attempt at the exam, will have to fill just four details while applying for session 2. They will have to choose the paper, medium of exam, choice of city and proceed to make exam fee payment. The NTA has instructed such candidates to login using the JEE Main application number and password generated for the session 1 exams.
Those applying for the first time, will have to submit a fresh application through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The NTA asked candidates to ensure that the email address and mobile number provided in the JEE Main form 2025 should be of their own or their parents. “All information/communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only,” it said.

The NTA will reject the JEE Main application form due to various reasons including incomplete or insufficient information, multiple applications, error in format or size of the documents uploaded, and failure of payment.
During the session 1 registration, the NTA noticed that the photographs uploaded by some of the aspirants were in the wrong format. It had given time for such students to rectify the error and upload a recent photograph. However, to avoid such instances, candidates are advised to ensure that the details and documents are submitted as per the specified format.

While uploading the photograph, students should ensure that the 80% face is visible, including ears, against white background.
“Spectacles are allowed only if they are used regularly. Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not acceptable. If the photographs uploaded are found to be fabricated, that is, de-shaped or seem to be hand-made or computer made, the application of the candidate will be rejected,” the NTA had said during session 1 registration.
