JAC postpones Class 8, 9 board exams 2025 due to ‘unavoidable circumstances’

Download EBookNEW DELHI: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) informed that it has postponed Class 8 and 9 board exams 2025 due to “unavoidable circumstances”. Jharkhand Board Class 8 exams 2025 were scheduled for January 28 while JAC Class 9 board exams 2025 were going to be held on January 29 and 30. The board will announce the new exam dates later on the official website, jacexamportal.in.
“It is hereby notified to the regular/independent students of Class 08 and Class 09, their guardians, the principals of the concerned schools, and the relevant officials that the Class 08 examination scheduled for 28th January 2025 and the Class 09 examination scheduled from 29th January 2025 to 30th January 2025 are postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The revised dates for the conduct of these exams will be announced later,” the board said in an official notice.
JAC also directed the exam officials to ensure that all examination-related materials provided by the council are safely stored.
The council announced Jharkhand Board Class 8th, 9th date sheet 2025 recently. According to the time table, the exams will be held in two separate shifts with the first shift from 9:45 am to 1 pm and the second shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The admit card for JAC Class 9th exams will be available online through the Jharkhand Academic Council’s official website.
As per the exam pattern for Class 8,9 board exams, each subject will comprise multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 50 marks. Schools will conduct internal assessment of 100 marks. JAC Class 8 exams will be held in OMR-based mode.
