NAS 2021 will provide understanding about what students know and can do at the end of Classes 3, 5, 8, and 10 by assessing students' attainment of learning outcomes in the respective classes.
This year’s sample framework plans to test school children in 1.23 lakh “unique schools” in which 38,87,759 students are enrolled, a NAS 2021 steering committee document said.
The survey was supposed to be conducted in 2020 but was postponed last year after schools were shut down due to pandemic, it will help measure the academic loss caused by the closure.
