Top 10 tips to crack SNAP with 99+ percentile
Cracking the SNAP test 2023 with the 99+ percentile requires relentless hard work, consistency and a firm desire to be a part of one of the SNAP exam colleges. Here are some tips to help SNAP 2023 aspirants excel in the SNAP MBA exam.
Tip 1: Focus on basic concepts rather than formulae
An analysis of previous years shows that a comparable number of questions are based on key concepts of the topics. Hence, it is advised that your basic concepts are clarified and properly understood along with their applications.
Tip 2: Practice calculations
Many quantitative skills, data interpretation & analysis and logical reasoning questions require intensive calculations.
Tip 3: Concentrate on Algebra & Arithmetic topics
SNAP is an exam that tests your ability to crack questions based on algebraic and arithmetic topics like percentages, profit and loss, TSD, and logarithms. To crack this section you need to practice various questions thoroughly.
Tip 4: Focus more on Vocabulary & Grammar
Compared to RCs, as evident from the inclusion of vocabulary-based questions like synonyms, antonyms, odd words, idioms and phrases, this section tests your vocabulary rather than your analytical skills. SNAP consists of 8-9 questions based on RCs.
Tip 5: Most Challenging Section - General Awareness, GK
General Knowledge and awareness has always been one of the most challenging topics and it is not limited to study. As SNAP tends to surprise students with its off-beat GK questions, it is better to be prepared with standard GK, topics like politics, business, economics, sports, awards and current affairs focusing on recent events.
Tip 6: Choose Analytical & Logical Reasoning
SNAP has experimented more in these sections by including questions from various topics like Coding-Decoding, Venn Diagram, Cubes, Facts Judgment, Series, Blood Relations, Puzzles etc. It remains an important section as the weightage given to a question is twice the weightage of questions from other sections. (30Q - 60 Marks)
Tip 7: Accuracy Matters
The most important aspect while attempting any section is to keep checking accuracy as a negative marking system (25% negative in SNAP) is in place. It is better to attempt questions that you are 100% sure about.
Tip 8: Solve previous years’ actual SNAP papers
The aim here is to familiarize yourself with the pattern of the questions even though the chances of repeating the questions are almost nil. Solving previous years' SNAP papers will help you know the pattern (sections, time duration, difficulty level).
Tip 9: Take SNAP mock test, analyze & improve on weaker sections
The best way to monitor your performance is to take SNAP mocks at regular intervals. This not only helps you track your progress but also improves your score as it allows you to work on your weak areas.
Tip 10: Lastly, choose questions wisely & manage time well
The key to success in all MBA entrance exams, especially the wise selection of SNAP questions & time management, undoubtedly applies here too, especially in Quantitative, DI & Analytical and Logical Reasoning sections.
