'Duty to address doubts': Tamil Nadu education minister will answer questions on State Education Policy 2025

Tamil Nadu: Education minister Anbil Mahesh to tackle questions from teachers, students, parents on State Education Policy 2025.
Following the launch of Tamil Nadu State Education Policy 2025, the state education minister Anbil Mahesh has started addressing and clarifying the doubts of teachers, students, and parents regarding the policy. He has started responding to queries from the general public in both Tamil and English.
Education minister posted on his official X account and said: “It is our duty to address the doubts of teachers, students, and parents regarding the 'Tamil Nadu State Education Policy (School Education)-2025”! I have started providing answers to their questions in both languages (Tamil, English).”
For the first time, the Tamil Nadu government will directly address questions from teachers, students, and their parents about the State Education Policy 2025.

The new Tamil Nadu State Education Policy 2025 is designed to promote bilingual learning in Tamil and English, and focuses on critical thinking over rote learning, and aims towards continuous improvements in assessment. The policy was at Anna Centenary Library in Chennai, on August 7, in the presence of the chief minister MK Stalin, and other officials.
The education minister said the new policy is designed with a vision for the future and works towards betterment in school education.
Additionally, the government has also scrapped the TN Class 11th public exam . From this year onwards, TN board exams will be held for Classes 10 and 12 only. Under the new policy, Class 11 will be treated as a preparatory year focusing on skill development and academic readiness through internal assessments.
