WBCHSE rolls out bootstrap programme, model question papers, online tutorials for students

Download NowThe West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced the Bootstrap Programme 2026 for Madhyamik examinees. The council has also published model question paper books. Furthermore, as part of its golden jubilee celebrations held on January 26, it has expanded its online subject tutorial programme.
According to the official council's announcement, the online sessions will be conducted from Vidyasagar Bhavan in April 2026. The application process will begin with the release of a Google form on the council's official website by February 15, 2026.
Students will be required to select their preferred subjects and pay a registration fee of Rs 100 per subject. Students will be notified in advance via their registered email addresses, and participation certificates will also be sent to all participants at the same registered email addresses.
Offline sessions will be organised in selected schools across districts between April and June 2026. These sessions will be free of cost for students of the organising schools and nearby schools.

WBCHSE’s bootstrap programme 2026
The Bootstrap Programme 2026, to be conducted by the Science and Development Wing of the WBCHSE, will provide subject-wise guidance in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, and computer science, along with their related applications.
The programme will be delivered by experienced teachers through both online and offline modes, with a focus on strengthening conceptual understanding and exam preparation.
WBCHSE releases model question booklets
Additionally, to help students prepare for the upcoming Madhyamik examinations, the WBCHSE has released semester IV model question paper booklets for 22 higher secondary subjects.
The subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Applications, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Political Science, Geography, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Education, Nutrition, Environmental Studies, Commercial Law, and others.
These model question papers are available in English and Bengali versions, and they follow a chapter-wise question bank format.
400+ tutorial videos on WBCHSE YouTube
The council also highlighted its ongoing online tutorial programme. Under this programme, more than 400 tutorial and practical videos have been uploaded on the official YouTube channel of WBCHSE since June 2025.
These videos cover the syllabus for the semester examinations. They also include explanations of the question pattern, expected questions, and sample answers.
During the event, the WBCHSE distributed desktop computers to 15 affiliated schools as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative supported by IDBI Bank. The initiative aims to enhance digital literacy among students.
