As per the schedule, AP TET exam 2025 will be conducted from December 10 onwards in two sessions – morning shift will be held from 9.30 am to 12 noon and afternoon shift from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.
Recently, the department in August published the District Selection Committee TET merit list to fill a total of 16,347 teaching posts across the state. The TET exam is especially crucial after the Supreme Court ruled that all in-service candidates across the country should qualify the eligibility test within the next two years to continue their service.
The All-India Primary Teachers’ Federation has estimated around 98 lakh teachers across the country will be impacted.
According to the AP TET exam pattern, all questions will be in multiple-choice format, each carrying one mark, with four alternative answers. There will be no negative marking.
Candidates will be appearing for two papers – AP TET paper 1 is for teachers for Classes 1 to 5 and paper for those who intend to be teachers for Classes 6 to 8. Those who have both DElEd and BEd qualifications and meet the eligibility criteria will be eligible to appear for paper 1 and paper 2.
The final results for the exam will be declared on January 19, 2026, and the initial provisional answer key on January 2.
