Assam HSLC exams to be held with last year’s papers, booklets to save natural resources

Download EBookNEW DELHI: The School Education Board, Assam (SEBA) has decided to conduct Class 10 or high school leaving certificate (HSLC) board exams with last year’s question papers and answer booklets. The board has taken the decision to avoid misuse of natural resources.

Assam board exams were cancelled last year due to COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is for information to all candidates, centre-in-charge, examiners, guardians, and all concerned that the forthcoming theory exams of HSLC, Assam High Madrassa (AHM) will be conducted using the question papers and answer booklets printed in the year 2021, wherever possible,” said the official notification from the board.

“As the SEBA did not conduct HSLC, AHM examinations in the year 2021...the question papers and answer booklets prepared in the year 2021 remained unutilised, and are being used for the year 2022,” the board added.
The board further said that question papers of 2021 exams were prepared on the basis of a syllabus which is “strictly in accordance with” the syllabus prescribed for this year’s syllabus.

Assam Class 10 board exams will be conducted from March 15 to March 31, 2022. Assam HSLC exams 2022 will be conducted in two shifts. While the first shift will be held from 9AM to 12 noon, the second shift will take place from 1:30PM to 4:30PM.
“Ten-minutes extra time is allowed from 8:30am to 9am in the morning shift and 1:20pm to 1:30pm in the afternoon shift to read the question paper only,” the official notification from SEBA said.
