BHU appoints two coordinators for integration of new faculty members

Appointed coordinators will help the newly recruited faculty members become familiar with the university and its functioning.
NEW DELHI : The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has appointed coordinators for new faculty members to become familiar with the university and its functioning. A comprehensive recruitment process is underway to fill positions of assistant professors, associate professors, and professors, of which, about 100 have already been offered appointments.
“The university is dedicated to ensuring a smooth integration of these new members into its academic community. A seamless acclimatization of the new recruits into the organization is a crucial process that goes a long way in developing a healthy work culture as well as enhancing engagement and improving productivity,” says an official BHU statement.
Aiming to achieve this, BHU also appointed two coordinators under the faculty recruitment and assistance programme:

Sandip Kumar from the department of pathology, Institute of Medical Sciences, will serve as the coordinator for medical sciences.

Ajay Kumar from the department of physics, Institute of Science, has been appointed coordinator for the rest of the university.
“The decision has been taken at the initiative of vice-chancellor, Sudhir Kumar Jain who has been prioritizing developing a culture that empowers one and all and drives members of BHU to strive as a team in achieving organizational goals,” BHU added.

Role of New BHU Coordinators
The role of newly appointed coordinations will be as follows:

Facilitation of orientation programmes.

Guiding academic and research opportunities both within and outside BHU.

Helping in ensuring timely access to essential resources such as office space, laboratory facilities, and IT support.

Facilitation of inter-departmental interactions and networking opportunities to foster collaboration and build meaningful professional relationships.
The BHU vice-chancellor Sudhir Kumar Jain said, “New people come with fresh perspectives. We must leverage these new ideas and skills. A structured integration and familiarization process helps new members offer innovative ways to achieving shared goals for growth and contribute creatively and more constructively.”
