SC to decide the fate of ICAI CA exams
The ICAI CA July exams 2021 have again come under a shroud of uncertainty as the SC will today hear a plea seeking the postponement of the exam. The plea sought directions from the apex court to increase the number of CA exam centres, with no more than 50 students per centre, and to include an opt-out option for candidates.
The ICAI has, however, already activated the opt-out option for candidates on June 28.
So, the plea standing before the SC also says there should be stand-by examination centres for those centres which are likely to go into the containment zone during the examination.
The plea will be heard by a three-judge bench of the SC comprising Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Justice Aniruddha Bose.
