Apply NowNEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in its recently issued circular, has allowed students to change their board exam centres for the upcoming exams. The decision has been taken keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, many students along with their families have shifted to a new place. Due to this, they are unable to appear in the theory and practical exams from their respective centres. Students can send their request for the same till March 25, 2021, and schools need to update the same by March 31, 2021. Earlier, the board has released the CBSE board date sheet 2021 . As per the date sheet, the exams will be conducted between May 4 to June 11, 2021.

“It has come to the notice of the board that because of COVID pandemic, some students of Class 10 and 12 along with their families have shifted to some other city/ country and therefore, they are unable to appear for the practical examination/ theory examination from the examination centre from where the students are registered for board examinations,” the circular reads.
How to make a request for changing the examination centre

It is mandatory for students to have a roll number issued by CBSE for the exams.

Students have to contact their respective schools to request a change in the examination centre. Also, students have to inform the schools about the new centre choice.

Students can choose only one city for both theory and practical exams.

No change in the exam centre will be made thereafter.
