NEW DELHI : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct Class 10, 12 board exams 2025 from February 15, 2025 and practical exams from January 1, 2025. The board has issued the subject-wise bifurcation of marks to assist schools.

According to CBSE, each subject has been allotted a maximum of 100 marks which is distributed among theory, practical, project, and internal assessment components.

The central exam board has observed that schools make mistakes in uploading of marks of practicals, projects, or internal assessments. To aid schools in smooth conduct of CBSE board exams 2025 and practical exams 2025 , it has issued a list of Class 10, 12 subjects containing the following details:

  • Class
  • Subject code
  • Subject name

  • Maximum marks in project assessment
  • Maximum marks in internal assessment
  • Whether external examiner will be appointed for practical or project assessment
  • Whether practical answer book will be provided by the board
  • Type of answer book to be used in theory exams

Issuing the list, CBSE asked schools to take note and upload correct marks to avoid inconvenience to students. Marks once submitted will not be changed, it added.
