IGNOU January 2024: Fresh admission deadline for online, ODL courses extended till March 31

IGNOU January Admissions 2024: Candidates can apply for IGNOU online, ODL admissions 2024 through the official website, ignou.ac.in.
NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for fresh admission to January 2024 session till, March 31. Interested candidates who have not yet registered for online, Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes can apply for IGNOU January admissions 2024 through the official website, ignou.ac.in.
"The Last date for "Fresh Admission" for all programmes (except Certificate, Semester based and merit based programmes) offered in ODL/Online mode for the January 2024 session has been extended again till 31st March 2024", IGNOU said on X.
Candidates for online programmes must register at ignouiop.samarth.ac.in, while for ODL programmes candidates must apply at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Students have to pay their course fees online using a credit card, debit card, or through net banking.
IGNOU January Admission 2024: Documents required
Candidates must upload the scanned copies of the following documents while applying for the IGNOU ODL, Online programmes:
- Photograph (less than 100 KB)
- Signature (less than 100 KB)
- Educational qualification (less than 200 KB)
- Experience certificate (less than 200 KB)
- Category certificate (less than 200 KB).

By inputting their username and password, students who have previously enrolled in any programme through the IGNOU portal can access their accounts. They need to contact their own regional centre for assistance if they face any difficulties, such as not getting the one-time password (OTP) or losing their login information. The centre will help with account resets and contact information updates, such as altering mobile numbers or email addresses.
IGNOU offers various of online programs in fields such as BA Tourism Studies, BCom, BCA, BLIS, MA Hindi, MA Journalism and Mass Communication, MA English, MA Sanskrit, MBA, MCom, MCA, and PG Diploma in Sustainability Science.
