NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will close the re-registration window for the January 2025 session tomorrow, January 31, 2025. Eligible candidates can register for the IGNOU January 2025 session through the official website, ignou.samarth.edu.in.
The registration portal is currently open for both Indian and international students of the University. Earlier, the IGNOU January 2025 registration deadline was January 15, 2025.
“If you have already registered on the portal, you may use your Username and Password to log in. In case you face difficulty in registering on the portal (not getting OTP/ forgot Username/Password or any other difficulty), please approach your Regional Centre for re-setting of your account/updating email ID or mobile number,” the official website read.
IGNOU January 2025 Admission: Refund policy
Candidates can check the IGNOU January 2025 registration fee, cancellation of admission and fee refund policy given below.
- The registration fee is non-refundable.
- If a cancellation request is made after admission confirmation, 15% of the program fee (up to a maximum of Rs 2,000) will be deducted from the refund.
- For students who opted for a soft copy of study materials, only the registration fee will be deducted from the refund.
- If a student who received a fee exemption has paid only the registration and development fees, only the development fee will be refunded.
- No fee refund requests will be accepted after 60 days from the admission closing date.

IGNOU January 2025: Upcoming programmes
As per the official website, the IGNOU will soon offer the admission to following programmes under Fixed Learner Intake Programmes (FLIP). Candidates are required to pay only the registration fee of Rs 500 at the time of submitting their application.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Maternal and Child Health (PGDMCH)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine (PGDGM)
- Diploma in Nursing Administration (DNA)
- Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Disaster Management (PGCMDM)
- Certificate in Early Screening and Evaluation of Visual Impairment (CESEIVI)
- Certificate in Early Screening and Evaluation of Hearing Impairment (CESEIHI)
- Certificate in Early Screening and Evaluation of Intellectual Disability (CESEIID)
