IGNOU Admission 2026: Candidates for IGNOU January 2026 admission must create a DEB ID, which is mandatory for application submission.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will close the application window for the January 2026 admissions to its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes today, February 15. Candidates can submit their IGNOU January admission form on the official website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
To apply for IGNOU January 2026 admission for ODL programmes, candidates will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 300.
Before starting the IGNOU January application process , candidates are advised to have their Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR ID) ready. Candidates applying for IGNOU January admission will have to create a DEB ID, as it is mandatory for submitting the ODL application.

IGNOU January admission 2026
For the IGNOU January 2026 application, candidates will have to upload a scanned photo and signature (each under 100 KB) along with copies of their educational certificates, experience certificate, and any applicable category certificates like SC, ST, or OBC.
IGNOU offer admission to ODL programmes such as BBA, BA, BCom, BSc, MSc, MCA, MBA, MA, MCom, MPhil, and PhD based on candidates’ performance in the entrance examination.
If candidates cancel after confirming their IGNOU admission, 15% of the fee, up to Rs 2,000, will be deducted from their refund. No refund will be given if candidates cancel more than 60 days after admission.
According to the official website, eligible students can apply for Government of India scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal, scholarships.gov.in, after their admission is confirmed.
