IIT Madras Pravartak, SWAYAM Plus launch AI-enabled HR Analytics programme

First cohort of the IIT Madras, SWAYAM Plus AI programme begins January 2026; online applications open till December 30, 2025
IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation has partnered with the Union Ministry of Education’s SWAYAM Plus initiative to launch an AI-enabled HR Analytics Programme aimed at building data-driven and AI-powered human resource capabilities among learners.
The programme is designed to equip students and working professionals with analytical, digital, and strategic people management skills aligned with emerging workforce and organisational demands.
The first cohort of the programme will commence in January 2026, and those interested can apply online till December 30, 2025.
The programme will focus on empowering learners to use workforce data, HR metrics, and AI-driven insights to strengthen organisational talent strategies, workforce planning, and evidence-based decision-making. Applications can be submitted through the official programme portal, while queries may be addressed via email.
Dr M J Shankar Raman, Chief Executive Officer of IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, said: “The programme marks a step towards transforming HR into a data-driven and AI-enabled function. He added that the initiative aims to prepare future-ready HR leaders by combining academic rigour with practical industry exposure”.
The HR Analytics Programme has been structured to integrate core HR concepts with advanced analytics, machine learning-based predictive models, AI applications, and real-world case-based learning, IITM Pravartak said in an official press release.
IIT Madras, SWAYAM Plus AI course
The programme has a duration of four months and includes two days of on-campus learning at IIT Madras. Teaching sessions will be conducted by IIT Madras faculty members along with industry practitioners specialising in HR analytics and artificial intelligence.
Participants will also work on an industry-focused HR Analytics capstone project covering HR dashboards, AI applications in HR, predictive modelling, HR metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
The programme is open to students and working professionals, particularly entry- to mid-level HR practitioners, aspiring HR leaders, and professionals from sectors such as aviation, technology, and services.
