Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) will issue the provisional answer key for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2025 (JEE Advanced 2025) on May 26 and candidates will raise objections against it till May 27.

The institute will then release the JEE Advanced 2025 final answer key after analysing the objections raised by candidates on June 2 on its official website at jeeadv.ac.in.

As per Ajay Sharma, National Academic Director, engineering, Aakash Educational Services Limited, "JEE Advanced 2025, held on May 18, was rated moderate in overall difficulty by the majority of students and experts alike. The exam was well-structured, maintaining a fine balance across subjects and topics. Among the three core subjects, Chemistry emerged as the easiest, Physics was moderate to challenging, and Mathematics proved to be the most difficult due to its time-consuming and calculation-heavy nature."

"While Paper 1 was relatively manageable, Paper 2 was significantly more challenging, with many lengthy and calculation-intensive problems. Time management was a crucial factor in this section," as per the subject expert.

The Chemistry section in the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2025 (JEE Advanced 2025) paper 1 and 2 was the easiest among three sections, as per the experts. "The questions were largely conceptual and straightforward, with only a few requiring detailed calculations. Students appreciated the balanced coverage of Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry," they said.

As per the marking scheme, each correct answer will earn 1 mark, 2 marks, and 3 marks based on the type of question. There will be negative marking of -2 marks for wrong responses.

For JEE Advanced 2025, the qualifying marks are 35% for candidates belonging to the general category, 31.5% for OBC-NCL and EWS, and 17.5% for SC, ST, PwD.
