Meghalaya NEET PG counselling 2025 announced by NEIGRIHMS.

The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, has announced the second round of Meghalaya NEET PG counselling for admission to MD, MS, and diploma courses for the 2025–26 academic year.

The 2nd round counselling will be conducted from 11 am on December 18 in hybrid mode, both online and offline, at the Conference Room, UGMC Building, NEIGRIHMS.

The counselling is being held to fill 12 available PG seats across 10 medical specialties for 260 eligible candidates.

As per the Meghalaya NEET PG merit list, 224 candidates have been declared eligible for 11 seats under the North East Open category and 36 candidates will be competing for just one seat under NEIGRIHMS pass-out category.

In the second round, the institute will fill seats for specialty courses including Anatomy, Forensic Medicine, Microbiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Ophthalmology, Pharmacology, Anaesthesiology, and Physiology.

Several departments have obtained Letters of Permission (LOP) from the ministry of health and family welfare, while others are fully recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Candidates opting to attend the counselling online must confirm their participation by emailing their details, including name, NEET PG 2025 roll number and rank, category, and contact information from their registered email ID to ar-academic@neigrihms.gov.in by 4 pm on December 17.

The institute has clarified that confirmations sent from non-registered email addresses will lead to disqualification.

Meghalaya NEET PG admission fee

The list of provisionally selected candidates will be published on the institute’s official website on December 19.

Selected candidates should physically report to NEIGRIHMS by 4 pm on December 24 for document verification and completion of admission formalities. An admission fee of Rs 69,000 must be paid via NEFT or RTGS within the stipulated timeline. Failure to report or complete formalities before the deadline will result in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.

Only candidates who have secured the 50th percentile or above in NEET PG 2025 are eligible to participate in the second round of counselling.
