SLAT 2021 revised exam date announced; Application form extended till June 28
SLAT 2021 will be held from July 10 to July 13, 2021. The slot booking option is likely to be available a few days before the exam.

NEW DELHI: Symbiosis International University (SIU) has released the revised exam date for its law entrance test, SLAT 2021. The test will be held from July 10 to July 13, 2021, in online home proctored mode. The application form for Symbiosis Law Aptitude (SLAT) has also been extended from June 4 to June 28, 2021.

Earlier, the SLAT 2021 was scheduled to be held on June 27, 2021, in computer-based test (CBT) mode. However, in view of the second wave of COVID-19, the authorities decided to postpone the entrance test .
For the online home proctored format, the exam authorities have announced a slew of changes to the test structure as mentioned below.

The total number of questions have been reduced from 75 to 60.

The test duration has also been reduced from 75 minutes to 60 minutes

There will be five sections in SLAT 2021, each section will have 12 questions instead of 15 as mentioned in the old test structure.

The SLAT 2021 will be followed by a Writing Ability Test (WAT) which will be conducted for a duration of 30 minutes.

IT infrastructure requirement for home proctored SLAT 2021
Candidates should have the following IT infrastructure for appearing in the online home proctored test.

Desktop/Laptop with Windows 10, Windows 7 or Ubuntu 14.1 and 16

Google Chrome latest version should be installed

Internet connection - 2 Mbps uninterrupted internet speed is desirable

Uninterrupted power supply

Webcam - Integrated Webcam or USB Connected Webcam

Candidates will have to take the internet-based assessments (IBA) through the IBS launcher.
Other devices such as iOS OS and iOS/Android devices are not supported. For more details, candidates may check the notice released by the SIU for IT infrastructure requirements.
SLAT 2021 exam instructions

While appearing in the test, candidates should sit in front of the computer or laptop

Candidates must face the screen and webcam for the entire duration of the test

There should be enough light to capture the candidate’s face clearly

There should be no one else in the surroundings while appearing in the test

Candidate will be invigilated through a combination of Artificial Intelligence and Human Proctoring

Candidates who are seen involving in cheating, malpractice or recording of the test will be subject to disciplinary action. This may result in the disqualification of the candidate.
