SSC seeks postal circle preferences from CGL qualified candidates for appointment as inspector posts
SSC CGL Result 2024: Candidates can submit their options out of 23 postal circles via email and speed post by April 10.

NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has sought options and preferences from candidates for postal circle for appointment as inspector posts through the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2024. The commission recommended 66 candidates for the appointment based on the SSC CGL result 2024.
Candidates are required to send the option form along with one self-attested copy of their ID via email at adspn.dop@gmail.com with the subject as CGLE IP 2024 <Roll No.> followed by <Name of the Candidate>" and hardcopy should be sent through speed post latest by April 5, 2025 till 5 pm “failing which, it would be presumed that the candidate has no preference for Postal Circle and he/she will be allocated to a Postal Circle as per criteria for allocation.”
Of 23 postal circles, the recommended candidates will be allocated one for appointment as inspector posts based on the following criteria:
- Candidate shall be allocated to a postal circle on the basis of her or his merit or rank, order of preference (option), and vacancy available at her or his turn.
- Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates irrespective of their ranks will be allocated postal circle first, subject to availability of vacancy in order of preference of postal circles submitted by them.
- After allocation of circles to PwBD candidates, remaining candidates will be allocated postal circles in the manner mentioned above.
- All such candidates who do not give any order of preference or are not allocated to any of the postal circle mentioned in their limited preference shall be allocated circles randomly subject to availability of vacancy, after allocation of circles to all other candidates.

Requesting candidates to submit their options, the commission said, “Option once exercised shall be final and candidates will be allocated to Postal Circles as per criteria. Request for revision of order of preference or change of Postal Circle once allocated, shall not be entertained under any circumstances and will be summarily rejected.”
