Tamil Nadu universities vice-chancellors conference to be held on April 25-26

Ideas and action plans for India's role in the emerging new world order and India to be a world leader by 2047 would be discussed at the conference.
UDHAGAMANDALAM: Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi will inaugurate a two-day conference of vice-chancellors of universities in the Tamil Nadu state here on April 25. At the conference, ideas and action plans for India's role in the emerging new world order and India to be a world leader by 2047 would be discussed, an official release said on Saturday.
UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar and Zoho corporation chief executive officer Sridhar Vembu will deliver special addresses at the conference. The vice-chancellors of all the state universities, central universities and private universities in Tamil Nadu would be participating in the conference.

Recently, M K Stalin , Tamil Nadu chief minister expressed concern over Ravi not giving a positive assurance over the NEET exemption bill and said that he hoped the latter will forward it for Presidential assent without further delay. The TN government had also boycotted the 'At Home Reception.' Stalin said that the event was boycotted as it would be inappropriate to attend the event hosted at Raj Bhavan, where the collective will of the society, as well as the state Legislative Assembly, have not been given its due regard.
