Attempt NowNEW DELHI : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the Class 10, 12 practical exams 2025 today, January 1, 2025. The board will hold CBSE practical exams 2025 till February 14, 2025. CBSE has issued instructions for schools for the timely and successful conduct of the 10th, 12th practicals.

Only those students who successfully qualify the practical exams will be declared pass in the CBSE board exams 2025 . The board will conduct the annual theory exams for Classes 10, 12 from February 15, 2025.
CBSE Board Exams 2025: Practical exam instructions
The schools are required to take the following actions for timely conduct of Class 10, 12 practical exams , project, and internal assessment:
- Ensure that a sufficient number of practical answer books have been received in the school before the scheduled date for conduct of practical examinations.
- Schools should inform parents and students regarding the schedule of practical, project, internal assessment to make them aware of, for the strict compliance of instructions issued by the CBSE.
- Ensure necessary arrangements like infrastructure, equipment, and materials are available in the laboratories for conducting practical exams. Ensure laboratories or facilities are adequately set up for students to perform their experiments.
- Contact the external examiners appointed by CBSE for the conduct of practical exams well in time for its smooth conduct.
- Make the required arrangements for Children with special needs (CWSN) to conduct exams so that they can participate comfortably.
- The students will appear in the practical exams as per the schedule fixed by the school.
- The marks in respect of all practical exams will be uploaded everyday, on the day of conduct of assessment.
- While uploading the marks, the school and examiners will ensure that correct marks are uploaded as no correction in the marks will be allowed once marks are uploaded.
- Schools should check maximum marks assigned before awarding and uploading the marks. Principals are requested to ensure that correct marks are uploaded as requests for correction of marks post result will not be entertained.
- School principals and examiners should ensure that marks awarded to every student are solely based on their performance.
- Answer books provided for practical exams 2025 include an undertaking for examiners wherein it has been mentioned that maximum marks assigned to practical in the subject have been checked and marks have been assigned after reading all instructions.
- No student participating in sports at national or international level will be given exemption from appearing in the IA and no separate practicals will be conducted or arranged for them.
- For Class 12, the schools are not authorized to make alternate arrangements of external examiners for conduct of practical exams or project assessment at local level. Practical exams can only be conducted by an external examiner.
- If it is found that the school has conducted practical tests by using some other external examiner not appointed by the CBSE, this assessment will be treated as null and void.
- In case, it is observed that directions of the board have not been complied with by the schools, the board reserves its right to cancel the practical examination.
- Schools should ensure that the practical exams are conducted within the stipulated time frame between January 1, 2025 and February 14, 2025 only. From February 1, 2025 onwards, school heads should follow up with their vice-principal, coordinators, or the concerned teachers regarding the status of conduct of practical examinations and uploading of marks.
