NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 10 social science exam 2025 today, February 25. As per teachers, the CBSE Class 10 social science paper was 'well-balanced'. According to students' feedback, the CBSE Class 10 social science paper 2025 was moderate in difficulty level. In CBSE Class 10 social science paper 2025, history, geography, economics and political science carried equal weightage. Practicing CBSE sample papers made the social science exam more manageable, as per students and teachers. According to Rishikesh Jha, SME, Social Science, Seth MR Jaipuria Schools, CBSE Class 10 Social Science paper 2025 was well-structured and assessed students' knowledge and analytical thinking skills. She said, "The question paper was well-balanced and effectively assessed student’s knowledge and understanding of key Social Science concepts while also fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. It was structured in a way that benefitted all level of learners, making it a fair and student-friendly assessment."
In CBSE Class 10 social science paper 2025, subjective section was fair but bit challenging that required thorough understanding of concepts, stated Abhilasha Pandey, TGT Social Science, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow. He said, The subjective sections posed a significant yet fair challenge, encouraging students to apply critical thinking and analytical reasoning. These questions required a deeper understanding of the subject and the ability to articulate well-structured responses."
'Some questions were tricky'
The CBSE Social Science exam 2025 covered a wide range of topics, some questions were tricky, demanding careful interpretation and critical thinking, as per Chinka Kapoor, TGT Social Studies, Silverline Prestige School. Overall, the CBSE Class 10 social science paper was a fair and well-structured, said Kapoor.

In CBSE Class 10 social science exam 2025, internal assessment carries 20 marks and theory paper is of 80 marks. In CBSE Class 10 social science 2025 subject, internal assessment includes periodic tests, debates or quizes, projects and portfolio, each carrying 5 marks.
According to the CBSE Class 10 passing marks 2025, students are required to score 33% in aggregate to qualify the board exams Additionally, students will be required to achieve 33% individually in practical as well as theory papers to clear the CBSE Class 10 exams 2025.
