NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 10 social science exam 2025 today, February 25. According to Rishikesh Jha, SME, Social Science, Seth MR Jaipuria Schools, CBSE Class 10 Social Science paper 2025 was well-structured and assessed students' knowledge and analytical thinking skills. She said, "The question paper was well-balanced and effectively assessed student’s knowledge and understanding of key Social Science concepts while also fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. It was structured in a way that benefitted all level of learners, making it a fair and student-friendly assessment."

In CBSE Class 10 social science paper 2025, subjective section was fair but bit challenging that required thorough understanding of concepts, stated Abhilasha Pandey, TGT Social Science, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow. He said, The subjective sections posed a significant yet fair challenge, encouraging students to apply critical thinking and analytical reasoning. These questions required a deeper understanding of the subject and the ability to articulate well-structured responses."

'Some questions were tricky'

The CBSE Social Science exam 2025 covered a wide range of topics, some questions were tricky, demanding careful interpretation and critical thinking, as per Chinka Kapoor, TGT Social Studies, Silverline Prestige School. Overall, the CBSE Class 10 social science paper was a fair and well-structured, said Kapoor.

As per Indian Express report , the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will implement two-tier difficulty levels —Standard and Advanced, for Science and Social Science subjects in Class 9 starting from 2026.
