Download NowNEW DELHI : The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025 registration portal within 10 days, which is on March 22. The last date for CUET UG 2025 fee payment is March 23, the application correction window will open on March 24 to 26, as per NTA schedule.

This year, the CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode in 12 languages from May 8 to June 1. NTA has also reduced the number of exam cities to 285 from 354.
Additionally, from this year candidates are allowed to choose a maximum of five CUET UG papers irrespective of the subjects they have studied in Class 12. The number of subjects has also been reduced to 37 from 61.
The CUET UG 2025 exam duration is 60 minutes for all papers. Till the previous year, the exam timings for each subject varied.
As per the CUET UG marking scheme, candidates will be awarded five marks for each correct answer and there will be a negative marking of one mark for each incorrect answer.

CUET UG reduced syllabus 2025
The CUET UG syllabus includes topics covered in the NCERT syllabus. NTA has reduced total 8 topics from the CUET UG syllabus , including one from physics and seven from chemistry.
In the physics syllabus, communication systems have been deleted and in the chemistry subjects solid state, surface chemistry, general principles and processes of isolation of elements, p-Block Elements, organic compounds containing nitrogen, polymers, chemistry in everyday life are deleted.
CUET UG number of subjects has been reduced to 37 this year, which includes 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, including one general aptitude test. Last year, 61 subjects were offered, comprising 33 languages, 27 domain-specific subjects, and one general test.
Candidates who are appearing for their Class 12 exams or candidates who have passed their exam are eligible to apply for CUET UG 2025 . Eligible candidates can apply for CUET UG 2025 in online mode only through the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in. Application in any other form will not be accepted.
