While passing a general order for all boards, the apex court said, "We direct the Boards that schemes be formulated and notifies in 10 days from today and also declare the internal assessment results by 31st July, like timeline specified by us for CBSE and ICSE."
On June 22, the court dismissed the plea seeking cancellation of
Class 12 board exams
and said that the evaluation criteria to assess the students is "fair and reasonable and there is no reason to interfere with the CBSE and CISCE schemes". The court had asked both CBSE and ICSE to submit the evaluation criteria earlier this month.
So far, 21 states have cancelled the board exams for 2021. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh informed the SC that it will hold the Class 12 exams. However, the SC reiterated in today's AP inter exam 2021 hearing that, “Unless we are convinced you are geared up to take exams without any fatality we won’t permit you to go ahead and conduct exams."
The bench will be discussing the AP inter exam 2021 matter again tomorrow and directed the Andhra Pradesh government to submit file notings that can help establish how the decision to hold board exams was taken and whether all pandemic conditions were examined.
