NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 exams 2025 is starting today, February 15. The CBSE Class 10 exams 2025 will begin with the English papers. The Delhi Metro will prioritise CBSE board exam 2025 students in frisking and ticketing, as per PTI. The CBSE 2025 Class 10 exam hall gate will close at 10 am. Students are required to carry their CBSE Class 10 admit card 2025 and their school ID to the test centre. Students who fail to show their CBSE Class 10 admit card 2025 will not be allowed to appear for the board exams. According to the CBSE date sheet 2025 , Class 10 exams is scheduled till March 18.
The CBSE board exams 2025 will be conducted in 7,842 centres. All CBSE board exam centres will be equipped with Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) facilities for preventing malpractices . Reports of reduction in CBSE 2025 syllabus for Class 10 and Class 12 were circulating earlier. However, the board has dismissed the claims of 15% reduction in CBSE syllabus.
In CBSE Class 10 exam 2025, internal assessment carries 20 marks and theory paper is of 80 marks. Students failing in 1 to 2 subjects will be allowed to appear for CBSE Class 10 compartment exams 2025.

CBSE Class 10 Exams 2025: Passing marks
A total of 84 subjects are being offered in CBSE Class 10 exams 2025. As per the CBSE Class 10 passing criteria 2025, students are required to score 33% in aggregate to clear the exams. Additionally, students are required to score 33% individually in practical exams and theory papers to pass the CBSE Class 10 exams 2025.
CBSE is also conducting free psycho-social counselling to reduce exam stress. Counselling services for students and parents will be available till April 4, 2025.
According to board officials, dummy students are prohibited from appearing for the CBSE board exams 2025 . The CBSE chairperson, citing a news report, mentioned that a student who scored a 100 percentile in JEE Main 2025 had allegedly enrolled in a dummy school. As per the board, students are required to meet the attendance criteria to sit for the CBSE board exams 2025.
CBSE Class 10th Exams 2025: Exam day guidelines
The CBSE 2025 Class 10 board exam guidelines are as follows.
- Students are required to be in their school uniform on exam days.
- Students will not be allowed to enter the exam hall after 10 am.
- Students will get 15 minutes extra time before the commencement of exam for reading the question paper.
- Students are not permitted to carry any electronics such as mobile phones, wallets, ear phones, smart watches, calculators.
- No food items are allowed inside the CBSE exam hall.
- Students are not permitted to carry any sophisticated pouches or pencil box.
- Students are required to carry their CBSE admit card 2025 and school ID.
- Students are required to reach the exam centre an hour before the start of the exam.
- Candidates are required to report to the assigned room and sit in the allotted seat.
- Candidates are required to do all the rough work on the writing pad provided by the invigilator.
- Candidates are required obey the instructions of the invigilator.
