NEET UG 2025 registration to begin soon; apply on neet.nta.nic.in, NTA revised exam pattern updates

NEW DELHI : The National Testing Agency (NTA) will activate the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) registration link anytime soon. Aspirants willing to appear for the NEET UG 2025 exam will be able to apply through the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.

With dedicated preparation, candidates can qualify for the NEET 2025 exam easily. The NEET UG 2025 syllabus includes physics , chemistry, and biology subject topics. Moreover, NTA has removed the optional question , which means candidates will have to attempt all 180 questions on paper.
Recently, NTA has clarified that the NEET exam will be held in a single shift in OMR pen-paper mode . A total of 1,08,940 MBBS seats will be filled through the NEET UG 2025 exam.
The union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, presented the Union Budget 2025 on February 1, 2025. As per the Education Budget 2025, the government has announced the addition of 10,000 MBS seats in medical colleges , targeting over 75,000 seats for the next five years.

NTA NEET UG 2025 exam pattern
The NEET UG 2025 exam will be held in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. As per the NEET UG 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer and negative marking will be followed for each wrong attempt, deducting one mark. However, no marks will be deducted for questions left unanswered.
Candidates will be required to answer 45 questions in physics, 45 in chemistry, and 90 questions in biology including botany and zoology topics. The total marks for the NEET UG exam is 720. Candidates will be given three hours to complete their NEET 2025 paper. Candidates can check the detailed NEET UG syllabus through the exam brochure made available on the official website.
NTA has also clarified the NEET UG 2025 application does not require an APAAR ID mandatorily to register for the exam. Candidates applying for the exam must have passed previous year board exam or are studying in Class 12. Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs 1,700, general-EWS, and OBC-NCL categories will have to deposit Rs 1,600, and SC, ST, and PwD categories will have to pay Rs 1,000 to register for the exam.
