NEW DELHI: The All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) has urged all colleges to spread awareness about cyber crime and the steps taken by the central government to deal with the crime. The ministry of home affairs has implemented the "Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (14C) Scheme" with the objective of providing an effective mechanism to deal with cybercrime in a coordinated and comprehensive manner.
"National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal" cybercrime.gov.in has been launched for reporting all types of cyber crimes especially against women and children. The incidents reported in the portal are automatically forwarded online to the State/UT concerned, the AICTE said.
“Students may be encouraged to follow the 14C on social media i.e., Twitter handle (@Cyberdost), Facebook (/CyberDostl4C), Instagram (cyberdostl4C), Telegram (cyberdost l4c) and contribute in dissemination of cyber security tips,” it said.

It is advised that "Cybcr Jagrookta Diwas" for sensitizing college students in the fight against cyber crime be celebrated on 6 October, 2022 as desired by Govt. of India; and create public awareness about thc steps being taken by the Government to deal with cyber crime especially about the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal the National helpline No.: 1930 be created, it added.
