Tripura Board to decide on Class 10, 12 board exams after CBSE’s evaluation criteria. The final decision is expected on June 21, 2021.

NEW DELHI : Tripura Board of Secondary Education has decided to wait for the CBSE's evaluation system and then decide about the Class 10 and 12 board examination. As per the Hindustan Times report, the board will also wait for confirmation from the health department and then take a final decision on conducting the board exams.
“We can’t say anything final on conducting Class 10 and 12 board examinations till we get the nod from the health department. We will wait for another week to see the CBSE’s evaluation system,” said education minister Ratan Lal Nath, as reported by Hindustan Times .
The final decision is expected on June 21, 2021, the minister further added.
Earlier, TBSE Madhyamik exams 2021 were scheduled to be conducted from May 19, 2021, whereas, the TBSE Class 12 exams 2021 were all set to be held from May 18, 2021. However, the exams were later cancelled due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in the state.
On May 19, the Tripura government decided to promote all the students of Classes 1 to 4, 6, and 7 to the higher classes without exams. The Board also intimated that the examination of respective classes will be held once the school reopens to ensure the evaluation.
The government also decided to close all schools, colleges and universities in the state from April 17, 2021, (Saturday) due to the spike in the Coronavirus cases.
